The cynical part of me sees the very wealthy cloning their bodies and finding a way to transfer their "self" into the brain of a healthy adult clone (age 20?), thus achieving the long awaited dream of immortality. After all, what "normal" human could compete with a clone that had accumulated 1, 2,3 or many more generations of experience and knowledge? Even with the "maintenance" paradigm suggested by bearded guy, I imagine unless Socialism prevails over Capitalism, the very wealthywill find a way to drastically extend their lives and accumulate more wealth and power, while the poor will see no benefit.
Sometime raconteur and occasional amateur astronomer, exploring science, law, culture, politics . . . and the scientific search for extraterrestrial intelligence, among other things.
