Japan: Lunar Robots By 2020


Japan has announced that it plans to deploy bipedal android robots on the Moon by 2020 -- maybe in time to greet America's next lunar astronauts when they (hopefully) arrive sometime after that.

This video discusses the usefulness of robots in outer space has some intriguing implications not just for lunar exploration but for deep space and even future interstellar missions -- and, therefore, for the possibility of interstellar travel by advanced technological civilizations elsewhere in our galaxy.
